Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapists assist patients to regain their independence by teaching them to perform functional skills such as bathing, eating, cooking, and many other skills that may be lost during illness. Patients are taught to effectively adapt to their environment and circumstances to the best of their abilities and with the use of assistive devices if needed.

Some of the services you could expect are:

  • Comprehensive assessment for home safety and adaptive equipment needs including recommendations, coordination with physicians, insurance companies, and suppliers
  • Training on safe use of adaptive equipment
  • Fine motor training and rehabilitation
  • Orthotics and splinting
  • Upper body mobility and strength training with a focus on independence
  • Post stroke care and rehabilitation
  • Pediatric special needs and developmental disability care
